CAF President receives Cote d’Ivoire delegation

Confederation of African Football president Mr. Issa Hayatou received on September 24th at CAF Headquarters a delegation led by Cote d’ Ivoire Football Federation’s newly elected president Mr Sidy Diallo, together with his 1st Vice president Mr Sory Diabate and two former Federation presidents Mr Ousseynou Dieng and Mr Jacques Anouma, the latter being a current member of the FIFA Executive Committee. 
 
The delegation paid a courtesy visit to CAF president to introduce the new football association officials and highlight its development plan and priorities targeted at youth football to allow Ivorian football to reach new heights.  Mr Hayatou congratulated Mr. Diallo on his appointment and welcomed him to the football family.
 
The CAF President said that Cote d’Ivoire has always played a major role in African and World football even if the last title won was in the AFCON 1992 played in Senegal. However, M. Hayatou is confident that football will serve as a key platform to reunite the country and allow Cote d’Ivoire to maintain its strong position within the CAF family.
