Due to understandable circumstances, the Egyptian Football Association’s decided to withdraw from the hosting of the CAF U-23 African Championship. Consequently, the Confederation of African Football is now looking at another possible host for the tournament, among the Federations that previously showed interest to organize the competition.

CAF will release further information with regards to the new arrangements in due course. The CAF U-23 African Championship is meant to run from 26^th of November to 10^th of December 2011 with the top three teams qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics and the fourth placed team taking on a side from Asia in a play – off.
