Cooperation Agreement between Union of Arab Football and Con

A cooperation Agreement between Union of Arab Football (UAF) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) was signed on  Wednesday in Riyadh- Saudia Arabia by UAF President  Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdelaziz and  CAF President  Issa Hayatou.

 

The objective of this agreement is to strengthen the cooperation  the cooperation between UAF and CAF in promoting  Arab and African football.

 

Issues addressed, a number of meetings will be held between UAF and CAF‘s officials in order to examine several subjects related to the development of Arab and African football.

 

This agreement also includes  exchanging competitions’ fixtures between the two bodies prior to the the beginning of the season in order to allow  national associations to work  on a suitable football calendar which takes  into consideration the various dates for regional and continental competitions.  

 

 

The two parties also agree to exchange international referees for  competitions organized by UAF and CAF, CAF should designate only  non Arab referees to officiate the matches organized by UAF, on its turn UAF should designate Arab referees from the Asian zone for the African Competitions.

 

 

This agreement also includes exchange of information related to sanctions imposed against officials, referees and technicians of the two confederations as well as the participation of referees, coaches and sports medicine specialists to different seminars and courses organized by UAF and CAF.

 

 

At clubs level, it was decided to create Arabo-African Super Cup.
