Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC have pitched camp 40km out of the capital city Kampala ahead of their Orange CAF Champions League preliminary first leg clash against Zambia’s Zanaco on Friday at Namboole stadium.

“We are plotting seriously to have a comfortable win at home before traveling to Lusaka for the return leg,” said URA’s coach Moses Basena. He said he is optimistic his new signings Augustine Nsumba and Jimmy Kidega will be fully fit for the encounter.

Basena, a former Ugandan international told Cafonline.com that they have stepped up training to a double sessions. He said although they don’t know some much about the Zambian side, he is aware of Zambia’s general football approach.

After recovering from injury URA are assured of their lead striker Henry Kisekka starting the match, although midfielder Emmanuel Balyejusa and striker Hamis Kiiza are a doubt.

It will be the second time in about three years that URA takes on a Zambian side in the competition, after they fell to ZESCO United in the 2008 edition.

The Zambians are expected to arrive tonight (Tuesday) ahead of the Friday clash. The two sides will meet in the return leg at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka February 27 and the winner on aggregate will advance to the first-round against Cote d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosa next month.
