Egypt brush aside DR Congo

African champions, Egypt confirmed their status with a 6-3 win over DR Congo in an international friendly on Wednesday at the Cairo International Stadium.
Ismaily striker capped his debut with a brace as the Pharaohs produced a convincing win ahead of the qualifiers of the Gabon-Equatorial Guinea Orange CAN 2012.
Ali broke the deadlock after just three minutes but Diba Ilunga leveled for the Leopards 14 minutes later.
The Ismaily marksman restored the Pharaohs lead on 34 minutes, before Ahmed Fathy and Mohamed Aboutreika each scored to give the hosts a 4-1 at half time.
Egypt captain scored his side’s fifth four minutes into the second half before Zola Matumona reduced the deficit on 54 minutes.
Striker Mohamed Nagy ‘Geddo’ completed the goal harvest on 67 minutes whilst Matumona completed his brace a minute later from the spot.
