Barely days after Cameroon coach Otto Pfister resigned before Cameroon-Morocco his counterpart of Guinea has followed in his steps.

Robert Nouzaret decided not to continue and an amicable arrangement has been arrived at between the two parties, according to the country’s minister of Youth and Sports who said three instead of twenty months salary shall be paid to the trainer. Nouzaret had to accept the offer following mounting public discontent and poor performance of the team that was beaten by Cote d’Ivoire at the weekend in a World Cup qualifier. In charge of the Syli National since 2007, the French trainer succeeded to qualify the team for the 2008 African Cup during which Guinea reached the last eight. But fans grew impatient with him following a series of doubtful results especially after the teams defeat in Ouagadougou.

Former international Aboubacar Titi Camara who was Technical Director has been appointed to take over. He is expected to be in charge when Guinea plays Malawi on June 21 in Conakry. With zero point after two matches, Guinea is on the verge of being dumped out of the qualifiers and only a complete turn around may see the team save its name.
