DR Congo striker Tresor Mputu Mabi has been named the Best Player of the maiden edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which ended in Cote D’Ivoire on Sunday. Mputu, who played a pivotal as his side beat Ghana’s Black Stars 2-0 in the final emerged topped in the scheme conducted by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) of the tournament. Zambia striker, Given Singuluma was adjudged the topscorer with his five goals scored in his team build-up to the third place. The CHAN is restricted to footballers playing in their domestic leagues.
