Hany Ramzy- Mission accomplished

After leading Egypt to their first Olympic finals in nearly twenty years team coach Hany Ramzy was over the moon with joy. Ramzy told Cafonline.com admit some jubilation songs from his players; “We came here seeking to qualify for the Olympic Games in London next year and we have achieved that goal. Yes we would have wanted to be playing and winning the final today but this win is a big victory for us and all Egypt. 2011 has been in football ways a tough year for Egypt and the U-23 team by making it to the Olympic football finals has put back some pride and smiles on Egyptians.

This certainly is the highlight of my short coaching career and l am very pleased to be part of this group of talented players. We will celebrate tonight and then head back home and continue with our through preparations for London 2012.

Abdoulaye Sarr- Hopefully we can still make it to the Olympic finals

The Senegalese U-23 coach Abdoulaye Sarr believes his team acquitted themselves well at the first CAF U-23 Championship finishing fourth and securing a play-off against a team from Asia next April which should Senegal win, will see them join Gabon, Morocco and Egypt in London 2012 Olympic football finals. Sarr told Cafonline.com, “ Nobody is happy to lose a match and yes we would have liked to qualify automatically for the Olympic finals but l am happy that we still have another chance to do so. This is an inexperienced team l had in Morocco and they have done well to get fourth place here. There are about seven key players we did not have here with us, so if l am able to have them for the play –off and l am confident of joining the three fellow African teams that have qualified from here. I think we played well but l need to find a solution to our lack of sharpness in front of goal “concluded Sarr
