CAF Executive Committee decisions
The Executive Committee of CAF met on September 10 and 11 in Cairo under the chairmanship of president Issa Hayatou. The meeting examined the decisions taken by the different standing committees .
After a rich and fruitful deliberation, the following decisions were taken:
The Committe approved the new proposals for the remuneration of teams participating in the Orange Champions League 2009 as follows :
Third in the group
Fourth in the group
The amount to be received by the winner moves from 1000000 US Dollars to 1500000 US Dollars, indicating a rise of 50%.
The committeewent on to make the draws of the African female championship to be held in South Africa in 2010 as well as the U-20 World Championship in Germany next year.
24 countries will take part in the preliminary rounds of the African female championships whose final shall be played in South Africa in October 2010

The committee also adopted the date for the holding of the upcoming African Futsal and Beach soccer championships. According to the calendar, December 10 to 24, 2010 will be reserved for the African Futsal Championships in Burkina Faso. 14 teams are expected to participate in the competition.
Concerning Beach Soccer, Nigeria and Ivory Coast shall represent Africa at the World Championships to hold from November 16 to 22, 2009 in Dubaï.
Anti dopoing controls were conducted during the 2009 African Nations Championships, CHAN. All of the 68 samples were analysed and the results were declared negative. The executive committee commended the initiative of the commission for putting in place a system whereby any player taking part in any continental competition to have a medical file.
The proposal of CAF licences was welcomed by the executive commttee. The license shall enable coaches to carry out their profession in a recognised and standardised manner on the continent. For now over a dozen countries have organised courses in coaching.
The executive committee was happy to find out that all national associations received the 100 000 US dollars yearly assistance during the period between 2006-2010.
The organising committee went on with the draws of the preliminary rounds of the second edition of the CHAN 2011. The period between January 21 and February 10, was reserved for the finals of the second edition to be held in Sudan.
