The South African National under-20 team, Amajita will start camp on Friday May 24 in preparation for upcoming three international friendly matches to fine-tune for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Amajita will travel to Accra to face Ghana and later play against Uruguay in Monte Video.

The match against Ghana will take place on 30 May 2009 while the other two friendly matches will be played against Uruguay on 07 and 09 June 2009.

Head coach Serame Letsoaka says he is satisfied with the quality of the opposition he will be facing in the preparatory stages.

“We are encouraged by the amount of game time most players have been getting in their respective teams, it is good for us because at least we know that their fitness levels will be at a required state, and they'll be in a position to compete with the tough opposition the Association has lined up for us. With the PSL season finished; we will be getting selected players on time, with the exception of Moroka Swallows players due to the Nedbank Challenge finals”, he told the official website of the South Africa Football Football association (SAFA).

The team departs for Accra on May 27 and returns from Uruguay on June 11.

Amajita, semi-finalists at the Africa Youth Championship held in Rwanda last January have been housed alongside Honduras, Hungary and the United Arab Emirates for the September 24 to October 16 championship.

Hosts Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon complete Africa’s representatives for the global championship.
