NEWSJunior Lions set for Germany training camp 07-06-2009
The U-20 team of Cameroon, Junior Lions are scheduled to leave for Germany for a training tour ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The two-week exercise which last from 6 – 20 July in Frankfurt, is to fine-tune the Lions’ preparation for the global championship scheduled for Egypt from September 25 to October 16. This is the first training programme for the Lions, silver medalists at the African championship in Rwanda last January, outside Cameroon for the World championship. Twenty-four players will be making the trip including members of the silver winning team in Rwanda. Whilst on the tour, the Junior Lions will pitch their strength against some lower division clubs as part of their preparation for the Egypt tourney. Cameroon are housed in Group C alongside Germany, Korea Republic and USA for the World Championship. |
