Interclub held Kaduna United to go a 1-1 Draw

Kaduna United was forced to a 1-1 draw by visiting Interclube of Angola in the Orange Confederation Cup played on Saturday at the Kaduna Township Stadium.

Kaduna United took the lead in the 59th minute through Ali Adamu’s effort. The visitors, Interclube of Angola, equalized in the second minute of extra time.
Kaduna United dominated the first half of the match, missing some scoring chances.  Cherry Mba,  the Interclub goalkeeper, was at the receiving end, making some impressive saves.
Interclub of Angola played their best in the second half of the game and determined to level up. Substitute, Patrick of Interclub, led the offensive for the visitor,  pilling pressure on Kaduna United before the well taken free kick that resulted to the equalizer.
In an interview with the Kaduna United Technical Director Maurice Cooreman, he noted that  his team is lacking in experience but hopeful in reaching the final.
“All our boys are young, this is the first time for them to play at this stage of the championship. However,  I believe that Kaduna United will get to the final of the tournament. When we travel to Tunisia,  we hope to get a better result” Maurice said.
Also in an interview with the chief coach of Interclub of Angola Coach Acelentor Colder, he said: “my boys have played a good football which helped  them to get a point in their first away match. I believe Interclub will go a long way in the championship.”
Kaduna United will now travel to Tunisia to meet with Club African of Tunis on 31 of July.
