Al-Merreik, the visitors got off to a strong start with Zambian striker Jonas Sakuwaha going close to finding an opener after a fine cross from veteran captain Faisal Al-Ajab.
Al-Hilal then had their chance after a mistake at the back allowed Senegalese striker Ibrahima Sane through but he could not beat the Egyptian veteran goalkeeper Esam Al-Hadary.
The home began to dominate play with their  four strikers , Ibrahima Sane, Mudathir Careca and  Edward Sadomba supported by Mohannad Al-Tahir. Soon a battle against  Merreikh  defense line led byIvorian central defender pascal Wawa,Najmeldin and Musab Omer ensued .

Al-Merriekh stuck with their balance strategy and made Al-Hilal struggled to reach the Al-Hadray's goal despite dominating the game.
