I dreamt winning the title in Rades- Ahly manager El Badry:
I wanted to win the title against Esperance in Rades and am honored to do that. My players were awesome and did what I asked them to do. All the players were up to their responsibilities. Waleed Sulleiman was substituted because he was injured. I didn’t expect Youssef Msakni to play and I believe his participation was a wrong decision because he was not fit, as I knew he didn’t fully participate in his team training sessions.
We played very well in the first half and fully dominated leading to Geddo’s goal.
Ahly was better - Esperance manager Nabil Maaloul
Ahly was the better side in this game and they deserved to win. We didn’t produce a fine performance and I can’t claim that the absent players were the reason. Things didn’t work well with us and we committed many mistakes. I think the result we had in the first leg affected us negatively on the contrary of what most people believed. I don’t believe Msakni participation was a wrong decision as he was one of the games’ best players. You can’t say El Badry was better than Maaloul but Ahly was better than Esperance. We'll hopefully get another chance to make up for that loss in the future. We came late into the game after Ahly took the lead.
