The race to crown new Orange CAF Champions League winner enters into the mini league phase of the competition after the draw conducted today at CAF HQ in Cairo and it threw an interesting twist.  DR Congo ‘s two representatives, TP Mazembe and AS Vita were draw in the same group as were Esperance and C.S Sfaxien of Tunisia who complete an All-North African group (B) along with Algeria’s E.S Setif and Ahly Benghazi from Libya.  Five time competition winners,  Zamalek from Egypt were drawn in group A joining the DR Congo pair and Sudanese giants, Al Hilal. The Matchdays are as following  May 16-18 and 23-25, June 6-8, July 25-27, Aug 8-10 and 22-24 with the  Group winners and runners-up qualifying for semi-finals. TP Mazembe winners in 2010 will renew their rivalry with fellow countrymen AS Vita Club  and matches between the two are always feisty and thrown into the mix will be equally competitive sides in Al Hilal of Sudan and Egyptian giants and five-time winners of the competition Zamalek who will fancy doing better this time round in  the absence of their rivals and current title holders Al Ahly. It will be a similar story in Group B where the Entente Setif from Algeria and Libya’s Al Ahli Benghazi might benefit from the fierce Tunisian derby pitting Esperance against CS Sfaxien. The All North African group B will be a hard one to call on who makes the semis but 2011 winners Esperance will feel they have the experience to reach yet another semi-final at the very least.Group   A: TP Mazembe (DR Congo)Al-Hilal (Sudan),Zamalek (Egypt)Vita (DR Congo)Group  B:Esperance (Tunisia), CS Sfaxien (Tunisia), Entente Setif (Algeria),Al-Ahly Benghazi (Libya)
