New generation of Instructors hit the ground running

A new generation of Instructors has kicked the ground running following their participation in the Referees’ Instructors Course held from 18-22 July 2016 in Cairo, Egypt.



 

The five-day course, in line with the development of the refereeing agenda by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) drew participation from a section of match officials (Assistant and Assistant Referees) who recently hanged up their whistles.

 


Amongst them were Doue Noumandiez (Cote d’Ivoire), Slim Jedidi (Tunisia), Coffi Codjia (Benin), Diatta Badara (Senegal), Koman Coulibaly (Mali), Yeo Songuifolo (Cote d’Ivoire) and Dzodope Ayawa Mana (Togo).

 

The course, attended by participants from French-speaking countries across the continent was geared towards the establishment of a panel of Technical Instructors to help the designing of a teaching manual for implementation.

 

Participants were also updated on on the latest technology of Video Clips Editing as well as review amendments to the Laws of the Game.

 


Thirty-four (34) participants made up of six women from over 20 countries attended the course.

 

Instructors were Neji Jouini (Algeria), Hadqa Yahya (Morocco) and Lawson-Hogban Latre-Kaye Edzona (Togo).
