Djibouti FA Boss takes historic move to insure his players
As part of his efforts of promoting a smooth football in Djibouti, President of Djiboutian Football Federation, Mr. Souleiman Hassan Waberi, has signed a historic agreement with the nation’s main insurance firm, GXA, to insure footballers and other volunteers.
The signing ceremony of the historic agreement took place over the weekend marks barely three months Mr. Waberi, was elected to lead the country’s football association.
“This contract signing is to promote the emergence of a shared vision of football development and professionalization of management players. We are aware that sports insurance is an important factor in the quality of play as this motivates players to gain confidence and had.
“This project respond to the vision of HE ISMAEL OMAR GUELLEH president of the republic in its roadmap has given priority to youth and sports. Starting today teams 1st, 2nd, 3rd division, Women's Football, referees and the Cadets will be covered by insurance,” Waberi said.
“With the signing of this partnership agreement with GXA is another important part of the structuring of the federation as mentioned in my road-map.”
Waberi was elected as President of the Djiboutian Football Association on November 10 last year.
