Marrakech all set for CAF General Assembly

 The 35th Confederation of African Football Ordinary General Assembly is on this weekend in Marrakech, Morocco. The magnificent Palais des Congres on Boulevard Mohamed VI will host the two day event that starts with the official opening on Saturday 9th of March 2013  at 6.00 pm.  The Ordinary General Assembly will take place from 9.30 am on Sunday 10th March.  Part of the Sunday programme will be the elections of the CAF President for the period 2013- 2017. Outgoing President: Issa Hayatou from Cameroon will be seeking re-election. There will also be elections of the CAF Executive Committee members for the period 2013- 2017 for the

North Zone, Zone West A , Zone West B, Central Zone, Central-East Zone and Southern Zone which will elect  two representatives after amendment of article 22.8 of the CAF Statutes. There will also be the election for the African representative for the FIFA Executive Committee for the period 2013- 2017.
The CAF President Issa Hayatou and FIFA President, Sepp Blatter will round – up the two day event with a press conference to start at 3.30 p.m. at Sofitel Hotel – Marrakech
