Mazembe seek glory in sudan

TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo seek glory in Khartoum when they launch the CECAFA/Kagame club cup campaign Wednesday against Kampala City Council (KCC) in Khartoum Stadium.
 
Thw flambouyant Lubumbashi club from East of Congo are a guest team in the popular CECAFA zone championship which has attracted a total of 12 clubs in a competition that will take two weeks.
 
Club coach Frenchman Diego Garzito told caf online that they are in Khartoum to lift the Kagame and teach  CECAFA clubs football lessons. ''We are not on holiday. We are in Sudan for serious business to win the crown and return to Lubumbashi.
 
'Look, we have been in Khartoum for almost two weeks of camping and this shows we are serious in our mission. We have to show our depth by going all the way to the finals and lift the crown" the French tactician who handled St George of Ethiiopia two years ago told CAF online.
 
Mazembe arrived in Khartoum 10 days ago with a contingent of 36 players to prepare for cecafa cup that will also be part of their preparation for the CAF champions league which start immedaietly after the khartoum event.
 
Among the top stars in the colourful Congolese outfit is veteran attacking midfielder Tressor Mputu. The Lubumbashi based club take on KCC a Ugandan cub that provides the bulk of Ugandan national team.
