Algeria set up Uruguay friendly on August 12

The Desert Foxes of Algeria will host Uruguay in an international friendly on August 12 at the July 5 Stadium, Algiers, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on its website.
 
The match forms part of the Desert Foxes for the remaining qualifiers of the 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
 
The FAF and their South American counterparts have concluded agreement with their South American counterparts regarding the clash.
 
“The President of the Algerian Football Federation, Mr. Mohamed Raouraoua and the President of the Uruguayan Federation have signed a formal contract for organizing this meeting,” the statement added.
 
The South Americans, ranked 20th in the world are expected to arrive in Algiers on August 10 with a 35-member contingent for the match.
 
The Desert Foxes are four points clear at the top of Group C of the qualifiers on seven points, three more than Egypt, with Zambia and Rwanda in that order.
 
The Algerians will host the Chipolopolo of Zambia on September 5 before engaging Rwanda and Egypt.
