 NEWSMbabane Highlanders To Play in 2010 CAF Confederations Cup 11-24-2009
Swaziland giants Mbabane Highlanders have been confirmed as the Kingdoms representatives in the 2010 Orange CAF Confederations Cup. Highlanders public relations officer Dumisani Sibandze confirmed over the weekend that the record 12-time Swaziland league champions booked their CAF Confederations Cup slot after winning the SwaziBank Cup on April 5 this year. Highlanders beat Manzini Wanderers 2-1 in the Cup final played at Somhlolo Stadium. Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows will represent Swaziland in the Orange Champions League after winning the 2008/2009 league season and will be making their fourth appearance in CAF's top tier club event. |
