Alexandria based Haras El Hodoud has failed to lit the Egyptian football scene like it did last year. The club was on July 25 defeated 1-0 by Al Ahly in the Egyptan Supercup. Egyptian superstar Mohamed Aboutreika scored the lone goal in the encounter. Despite the some what decline in the clubs performance, Haras El Hodoud coach Tarek Al Ashri says he is confident the club will bounce back: « Al Ahly desired victory. Our oponents did take advantage of our defensive mistakes. We were really not at the best level».
Club official donot believe this will affect Haras El Hadoud’s continental ambitions. Bewteen now and when the Egyptain championship gets underway on August 6, there must have been two playing days of the Champions League and the Confederations Cup.
All what the technical staff are doing now is to focus on the game against Gaborone United. The only obstacle is the one goal deficit, but Tarek Al Ashri thinks it might not be a problem as the team is capable if overcoming any adversity. The players will need to up their performance and be on the same level as Egyptian international Ahmed Eid. In spite of the minor worries Haras El Hodoud’s coach  remains hopeful : « The Supercup was a good test game before our encounetr with Gaborone United. We have surely learnt form our mistakes » He added.
