Ricardo Manetti : “Namibia hopes to gain experience at the AFCON 2019”

What do you think of the pyramids as a setting?
Ricardo Manetti : “It is unique! What a great way to combine history and the present with such a magnitude! It is priceless, we are lucky.”
What does it mean to come back to the AFCON for Namibia ?
Ricardo Manetti : “It is unbelievable what accomplished. We have been working on this project for many years. It started in 2013 when I became coach and worked with this generation which is now 70 % of the current team.
What are your goals for this AFCON 2019 ?
Ricardo Manetti : “We will use this AFCON to gain experience against big teams. It is the third time Namibia participates in this tournament. My goal is to make sure we do not wait another 10 year period before another qualification. We want to win a game during the group stage.”
You knew AFCON as a player. Is it an advantage ?
Ricardo Manetti : “I know how to prepare players psychologically. As a former player, I would advise my team better and they can count on my experience.”
