The countdown to the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 has officially begun, as anticipation towards the official draw of the qualifiers to Africa’s biggest calendar event sets in across the continent.

A total of 48 African nations await with bated breath for Thursday’s event which marks an exciting milestone towards the 35th edition of CAF’s flagship competition, that has since surpassed all expectations at its recent staging in Cote d’Ivoire earlier this year.

Hailed as the best TotalEnergies CAF AFCON thanks to the breathtaking moments on the pitch, world-class viewing experience, exceptional organisation and record global viewership, the biggest event on African soil has catapulted to its greatest heights.

With the baton now officially handed over to Morocco following its unparalleled success in Cote d’Ivoire, all nations will be aiming at securing a place at what has now become one of the biggest tournaments in world football.

The official draw will take place at 14h30 Local Time  (12h30 GMT) and will be hosted by two African football greats to be announced by CAF in due course.

The draw on Thursday officially maps the pathway to qualification to Morocco, where each of the 48 nations will be drawn into the Twelve (12) groups of four (4) that will determine who qualifies for next year’s continental showpiece set to be contested by 24 nations.
