FCF Amani reach UNIFFAC Qualifiers final of CAF Women's Champions League

FCF Amani vs Missile FC WCL Uniffac

DR Congo's FCF Amani beat Gabon's Missile FC 3-1 on Sunday in Kindu, thus recovering the deficit of a goal of the first leg to qualify for the UNIFFAC Qualifiers final of the CAF TotalEnergies Women's Champions League planned in Egypt at the end of the year.

In the first leg played on August 1 at the Augustin Monédan stadium in Libreville, the Gabonese won at home 1-0 thanks to a goal by Amira Nze in the 27th minute.

This Sunday in Kindu in the DRC, the two teams of the Central Zone of CAF had different cards to play. FC Missile only needed a draw to qualify, while coach Henock Tambwe Mwembo's fillies, FCF Amani, had to win at home to try to pass.

Kalubi Yabadi broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute and repeated to make it 2-0 in favor of FCF Amani eight minutes later.

After the break, the Gabonese team reduced the score by Nelly Betoughe Be Nkoghe in the 50th minute. But that's without counting on the aggressiveness of the Congolese who widened the gap in the 54th minute with an achievement by Ndoze Yabongo.

FCF Amani qualified for the playoff final with a 3-2 aggregate score to face Malabo King FC (Equatorial Guinea).

With four participants in the qualifiers including Amani (DR Congo), Missile FC (Gabon), Louves Minproff (Cameroon) and Malabo King FC (Equatorial Guinea), UNIFFAC had opted for home and away matches in which the two winners will play the qualifying final for the tournament in Egypt.
