TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League: Good start for Afak Relizane

Algerian side Affak de Relizane, won on Saturday afternoon Tunisia’s Banque de l'Habitat 3-1 at the first day of the zonal UNAF qualifiers for the first edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League.

The Algerian champions dominated the game at the Berkane stadium against a Tunisian team which did not find its bearings on the field against the teammates of Naima Bouhenni.

Aicha Hamideche opened the scoring for the reigning Algerian champions in the first half before the Tunisians equalized after the break.

Zeyneb Kendouci restored the advantage for the girls of Relizane, then the experienced Naima Bouhenni sealed the Algerian representatives’ victory.  Relizane will challenge Morocco’s FAR on Tuesday.

The winner of the zonal tournament will represent the UNAF zone at the first edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Champions League, scheduled in Egypt later this year.
