Formed only seven years ago in the Western Kenya county of Vihiga, after which they are named, four-time Kenyan champions Vihiga Queens are living their dream, having qualified for the inaugural edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Vihiga earned qualification to the Champions League after claiming victory in the CECAFA regional qualifiers staged in Nairobi.

Mamelodi Sundowns – On the steps of the African Champions

Mamelodi Sundowns are considered as the pacesetters following their domestic successes in South African women's football.

Before winning the inaugural SAFA Women's Soccer League in 2020, Sundowns previously won twice the then Sasol National League Championship.

Now, they look to follow their men section who were crowned CAF Champions League champions in 2016.
