AFCON - DR Congo unveil 32-man provisional squad

DR Congo Florent Ibenge has named a 32-man provisional squad for the Total Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2019.

Veteran midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has a place in the team looking forward to his fourth appearance at the biennial championship just as TP Mazembe defender Djos Issama Mpeko.

Midfielder Tresor Mputu is also back in the provisional squad for the first time since the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. The 33-year old made a return to the national team last year following a streak of impressive outings for TP Mazembe in the domestic and continental fronts.

The Leopards will camp in Spain beginning 2 June to fine-tune for the tournament with friendly matches against Burkina Faso and Kenya confirmed. DR Congo are housed in Group A together with host Egypt, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
