Cameroon receives CAF flag as the road to AFCON 2021 starts

In a symbolic ceremony, Cameroon received the CAF flag from Egypt signaling the end of the 32nd edition of Total Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2019, and the start of the road to the 33rd AFCON edition, Cameroon 2021.

Hany Abu Rida, head of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) handed the flag to Seidou Mbombo Njoya, the President of Cameroon Football ssociation in the presence of CAF President Ahmad Ahmad. Cameroon will host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 for the second time in their history after 1972.

The draw for 2021 AFCON qualifications were conducted in Cairo, Egypt in Thursday 18 July 2019.
