Ghana’s Black Stars are through to the finals for the eighth-time in a row, qualifying for every edition since 2006, their longest ever streak. The four-time champions boast of an impressive record of a top four finish since 2008.
- Ghana have competed in 21 previous Africa Cup of Nations tournaments; only Egypt (23) and Cote d’Ivoire (22) have done so more, with Ghana winning on four previous occasions, the third most in the competition behind Egypt (7) and Cameroon (5).
- Ghana have finished in the top four in each of their last seven Africa Cup of Nation tournaments, although they haven’t won any of those, last finishing as champions in 1982.
- Ghana have finished as Africa Cup of Nations runners up more times (five) than any other nation, being eliminated in five of their nine finals, including each of their last three (two on penalties).
