CAF Digital is launching a three-episode docuseries under the name “A Long Walk to Glory”. The docuseries will discuss the previous 2019-20 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League edition, starting from the stoppage of competitions due to Covid-19, and the tough journey both CAF and the four semifinalists (namely Egypt’s Al Ahly and Zamalek, and Morocco’s Raja and Wydad) had to go through, setting an epic final that was one of Africa’s biggest derbies.
A Long Walk to Glory tells the story of the challenges four teams faced as they hunt down the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League title. Chapter one sheds light on the period when the games got held up, building up to the first leg of the 2019/2020 semi-finals. Chapter two picks things up in Cairo, as the Moroccan duo sought to turn things in their favor in the second leg of the semis, after a twist of events took place prior to the Cairo Stadium clashes. Chapter three, The Grand Finale. A final like no other in the competition's history.
The docuseries will be displayed on both CAF Facebook & YouTube
