Striker Karim Aribi scored in each half while Hazem Haj Hassan added a third in injury time to giude Tunisian visitors Etoile du Sahel a valuable away 3-0 victory over Zimbabwean hosts Platinum in Bulawayo on Saturday afternoon.
"Les Diables Rouges" recorded their second victory in as many matches to go top of Group B with maximum six points, three more than Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Sudanese counterparts Al Hilal. Platinum trail tje group pointless.
Al Ahly defeated Hilal 2-1 in Cairo on Friday night to have their first group victory.
Aribi who scored seven goals in the preliminary rounds broke the deadlock for Etoile after 23 minutes, connecting well to Maher Hannachi's pass. Both sides went to the break with the lone goal separating them.
And just a minute after the break Aribi doubled the visitors' lead. The Algerian lanky forward received Wajdi Kechrida's cross to double his tally.
A minute into injury time Haj Hassan added the final nail in the hosts coffin to send his side comfortably to the top of the group.
Etoile entertains Al Hilal in Match Day 3 after three weeks, while Platinum have a tough trip to Egypt to face Al Ahly in Cairo.
