Morocco v Tunisia - North African exciting derby in Nouadhibou

North African giants Morocco and Tunisia will renew their rivalry when they lock horns in the quarter finals of the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Mauritania 2021.

The two powerhouses of African football will be fighting for a semifinal place, when they face off on Friday at the Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou.

The young Atlas Lions, who are back at the biannual tournament after missing the last seven editions, will be seeking their second title.

Zakaria Abboub's charges have been impressive in Mauritania with their free flowing, attacking style of football.

The Moroccans topped a very competitive Group C which had former U-20 World Cup champions Ghana, debutants Tanzania and 2007 bronze winners Gambia.

The Moroccans edged the Young Scorpions before sharing the points with Ghana in their second match, and finished the group with a 3-0 thrashing of Tanzania.

They will come up against a Young Carthage Eagles' side that secured their place on the final round of matches as one of the two best third placed teams.

Tunisia finished Group B with four points from a win over Namibia and a stalemate against Burkina Faso's Young Stallions.

However, the Young Carthage Eagles were beaten by fellow debutants the Central African Republic in the final round of the group stages, which dug them to third place.

The derby will be played all the way in Mauritania's second largest city Nouadhibou, and it will be the last fixture at the Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou.
