Tunisia’s Kanzari: Uganda’s victory is well deserved

Tunisia coach Maher Kanzari praised Uganda for beating his side 4-1 in the semifinal of the ongoing Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Maurotania 2021, saying “this victory is well deserved.”

“If the score does not reflect the reality of the match, we must still recognize the superiority of Uganda in this game,” added the Tunisian tactician.

“Congratulations to Uganda. They managed to open the scoring early on and that helped them,” said Kanzari, blaming hi his team's lack of freshness.

“We lacked physical freshness, and when we managed to reduce the score at the end of the first half, we took a big blow conceding the 3rd goal just three minutes after the break.

“After that it was really hard to come back. We lost to the best team in the tournament".

"Even when Uganda lost against Cameroon, I said that this team is the best in the competition,” concluded Kanzari, calling on his players to recover for the third-place match.

Tunisia will face Gambia on Friday at Stade Cheikha Ould Boidiya in Nouakchott.
