Simba worry Mbabane comeback

Winning the first leg is one thing, but progressing to the next round it’s another thing. That’s worry Simba trainer, Patrick Aussems as he reveals that they still have a huge task to do in Eswatini when they face Mbabane Swallows on the second leg of the Total CAF Champions League preliminary round this Tuesday.

The 1993 CAF Cup finalists, Simba beat Eswatini Champions’, Mbabane Swallows 4-1 last week in Dar es Salaam, to put one leg to the next round of the Continental first tier competition.

Currently in the third position on the ongoing Tanzania top flight league, Simba need to contain Mbabane away, the thing that’s the Belgium trainer, Aussems reveals that it is not easy to do but they will fight until the last breath.

Aussems who has lost only a game since he took over Simba job last July, said he will not accommodate many changes in his lineup as they will still play their kind of football they did on the first leg in Dar es Salaam.

“We are going to play one of the best team in Africa, it will not be easy. We will play our kind of football as we did it at home because if we say we are going to defend, we will not manage to defend for all 90 minutes,” he said.

“We respect Mbabane and we will play with cautions away. Our target is to go through the next round and we will make it happen,” he added.

On his side, Ghana import, Nicholas Gyan who set John Bocco opener in the first leg, said they hold a good chance to through the next round but that should not make them relax and play comfortably in the return leg.

“It is important game for us, we have good chance after home victory but we need to keep the spirit and fight for positive results,” he said.

Simba left back, Mohammed Hussein said; “We will defend well our victory, we cannot let this chance slip from us. They play good football and that something we need to worry about.”
