The TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup delivered another weekend of captivating football, with Matchday Two matches showcasing thrilling in the race for qualification to the knockout rounds.

Group A: Constantine Takes Control, Bravos Impress

CS Constantine secured a crucial 2-1 home win over Simba SC to stay top of Group A. 

Mohammed Hussein opened the scoring for Simba, but an own goal by Abdulrazack Hamza and a second-half strike by Brahim Dib ensured Constantine’s second consecutive victory.

Bravos do Maquis edged CS Sfaxien 3-2 in a high-scoring thriller. Goals from Keoikantse Mosiatlhaga, Joaquim Paciencia, and Francisco Matonco gave Bravos their first win, keeping them second in the group.

Simba sits third with three points, while Sfaxien remains bottom without a point.


Group B: Berkane Dominates, Stade Malien Settles for a Draw

RS Berkane continued their perfect start with a 3-1 triumph over Stellenbosch.

Youssef Zghoudi’s early brace and Reda Hajji’s stunning strike secured victory, while Stellenbosch managed a late consolation goal through Chumani Butsaka.

In Angola, Stade Malien and Desportivo Lunda-Sul played out an exciting 1-1 draw. Siaka Diaby gave the Malians the lead, but Danilson’s towering header ensured a share of the spoils.

Berkane leads the group with six points, followed by Stade Malien with four. Lunda-Sul and Stellenbosch trail with one and zero points, respectively.


Group C: USM Alger Holds Top Spot, Orapa Earns a Point

USM Alger maintained their unbeaten start with a goalless draw against Jaraaf in Dakar.

Despite being held, the Algerians remain top of Group C.

Meanwhile, Orapa United and ASEC Mimosas also played to a 0-0 stalemate in Botswana. Orapa’s defense, led by goalkeeper Lesenya Malapela, stood firm against ASEC’s relentless attacks. 

ASEC sits second in the group with four points, while Jaraaf and Orapa follow with one point each.


Group D: Late Drama in Maputo, Zamalek Held by Enyimba

Black Bulls Maputo snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw against Al Masry, with Nené scoring a stoppage-time equalizer.

Mido Gaber had earlier put the Egyptian side ahead. Meanwhile, defending champions Zamalek were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw by Enyimba.

Zamalek raced to a 2-0 lead through Seifeddine Jaziri and Omar Faraj, but Ufere Chukwu and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele salvaged a point for the Nigerian hosts.

Zamalek and Al Masry remain tied on four points atop the group, while Enyimba and Black Bulls have one point each.
