  • Green Buffaloes are the first team to lose their next two games after winning their opening game at a CAF WCL.
  • This was the first time in the finals that Green Buffaloes had failed to score a goal, it was also the first time they had conceded the first goal in a game. In their previous games against Determine Girls and AS FAR they had managed to take the lead.
  • This was the second meeting between teams from Southern Africa and East Africa it was the first win for a team from the CECAFA region, the previous clash between such teams ended in a win for the Southern African team. It was Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 win over Vihiga Queens in the 2021 Group Stages.
