Women’s Futsal AFCON: Let the show begin!

The very first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Futsal kicks off in Rabat on Tuesday, 22 April at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.
The groundbreaking tournament brings together nine nations determined to shine in a rapidly growing sport.
Just like 11-aside football, African women’s futsal is experiencing rapid growth, driven by ambitious federations and youth eager for recognition. Now, all eyes are on Rabat, where the sport is daring to dream bigger.
Morocco to lead the way
As host country and trailblazer in the development of women’s futsal, Morocco begins its campaign against Namibia (8:00 PM) in a venue that promises to be electric. With a well-prepared squad and meticulous preparation, the Atlas Lionesses approach this event with ambition.
But before that evening clash, two other matches will kick off the opening day.
At 2:00 PM, Angola faces Guinea in what promises to be an intense duel between two technically gifted sides in Group B. Then at 5:00 PM, Madagascar takes on Senegal in Group C — a showdown between a rising team and another aiming to establish itself as a continental powerhouse.
