Former Tunisia coach Bertrand Marchand has passed on

Former Tunisia national team coach Bertrand Marchand has passed on, age 70.
Marchand passed away in his hometown of Dinan, France, leaving an immense void in African and world football.
Marchand's influence will forever echo in the annals of football history, as the man who ushered Didier Drogba onto the global stage over two decades ago, when the illustrious Ivorian player proudly wore the colours of French club Guingamp.
In 2006, the French tactician embarked on a remarkable journey to the African continent, leading Tunisia's Club Africain. A mere season was enough for him to etch his mark on the North African football landscape. His blazing start propelled him to Etoile du Sahel in 2007.
Guiding the Tunisian side, the French maestro experienced unparalleled glory: conquering the CAF Champions League and clinching the CAF Super Cup in 2007.
Three years later, he assumed the role of Tunisia's national team coach, yet the tenure did not yield the anticipated results. His journey continued with brief spells at Raja Club Athletic, Berkhane, CS Chebba, and other esteemed clubs.
