Burkina Faso – Cameroon

·       This will be the second encounter between Burkina Faso and Cameroon in the African Nations Championship after the sides drew (1-1) in the 2018 group stage.

·       Burkina Faso won their first ever game in the African Nations Championship on match day two (3-1 against Zimbabwe)– ending a run of seven games in a row without a win (D3 L4). Their three goals scored in that match were as many as they netted in their previous seven games in the competition combined.

·       Zimbabwe have won just three of their 17 games in the African Nations Championship (D7 L7) and have failed to score in nine of these 17 games. Zimbabwe have never scored more than two goals in a single game in the competition.

·       Mali have lost just once in their last eight games in the African Nations Championship (W4 D3) and are unbeaten in their last nine group stage games (W4 D5), since losing their first two matches in the competition in 2011.
