WAFU A’ Women’s: Gambia humble Guinea Bissau as Mali book semis ticket

Tamba, inspired the second-half comeback with four goals including an assist from twin sister, Hawa.
First half goals from Guinea Bissau’s flankers, Tchaloda Man and Veva Te, gave their side a first half lead but they could not withstand the pressure from their Gambian counterparts in the second half.
Tamba drew level ten minutes after recess, and sealed her hat-trick few minutes later to put the Gambians in front. She scored her fourth goal on 66 minutes, to join Malian Aguissia Diarra at the summit of the scorers chat on four goals each.
Amie Jarju, sealed the win for Gambia after beating Guinea Bissau goalie Fatubinto Mandjan ten minutes from time.
The Malians proved to too strong for Liberia with an excellent performance in the first half which gave them a 2-0 lead. Senebu Sidibe and Binta Diarra scored in the 31st and 43rd minutes before Aguissia Diarra added the third on 78 minutes to secure victory.
Mali leads the pack on six points with Gambia and Liberia trailing on three points each whilst Guinea Bissau occupy depth of the standings pointless.
Meanwhile, host Sierra Leone, will battle it out with group-A leaders, Senegal, in a must win, in the Southern city of Bo, while their group counterparts Cape Verde face Guinea at the Makeni Wusum stadium on Sunday.
