CAF and LOC launch training program to strengthen Safety and Security for TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025
The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), through its Safety and Security Division, and in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), has launched a comprehensive training program across Morocco in preparation for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025.
The program, running from 7-14 November, covers all six host cities and is designed to enhance operational safety and security in line with CAF standards and international best practices.
The training aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of CAF’s operational safety and security requirements, while also providing a platform for the LOC Security Commission to present its Security Concept and engage in discussions with CAF Safety and Security officials.
The training brings together key officials and commanders responsible for security and emergency operations in each host city. These include those overseeing venue safety and security, police forces, gendarmerie, police escorts, fire brigades, airport and traffic security, and auxiliary forces.
It also involves commanders in charge of TSLO operations, training sites, stewards, hotels, fan zones, and emergency services, as well as other senior security officials responsible for ensuring the overall safety of the tournament environment.

Dr. Christian Emeruwa, CAF’s Head of Safety & Security, said:
“The success of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025 rests not only with the brilliance of the football on the pitch, but on the invisible strength of safety and security behind every match. This dedicated training for the host city Safety and Security Commanders marks another milestone in our collective commitment to protect the game, its people, and its passion.
“CAF expresses its profound appreciation to the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Morocco for its exceptional facilitation, to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for their tireless partnership, and to all host city commanders and members of the Safety and Security Pilotage Committees whose professionalism and unity form the backbone of a safe and world-class AFCON.”
This initiative highlights the strong partnership between CAF and the LOC, reflecting their shared commitment to organizing a secure, successful, and memorable tournament for players, officials, fans and the general public.
