Drawn into a competitive Group E alongside Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Sudan, Micha is fully aware of the challenge that lies ahead.

Nevertheless, the tactician remains focused on guiding his players toward a respectable showing and pushing for a place beyond the group stage, driven by belief, discipline, and collective ambition.

The tactician spoke exclusively to CAFOnline.com, emphasizing that success at the continental level demands thorough preparation and patience, stressing that time and attention to detail are key components in meeting the rigours of Africa’s flagship tournament.

Above all, the Equatorial Guinea coach pointed to trust in his players, respect for their opponents, and a shared desire to make the nation proud as the foundations upon which his team will build their AFCON Morocco 2025 journey.

The atmosphere is very good, and everything is going well ahead of the start of the competition. The players have shown their focus and readiness and we are anxiously waiting for the first kick of the ball.

Do you feel well prepared for the competition after the preparations you have undertaken?

In order for teams to arrive at the continental finals in good condition, there is a small challenge when it comes to preparation. It is not easy. We need a lot of time to prepare properly in order to start the competition in the best way.

How do you assess your chances of progressing from the group stage against teams like Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Sudan?

We know this group is very difficult. But for us, we have come to deliver a good tournament. We believe in ourselves. We know there are strong teams such as Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Sudan, but we will face this with humility and hope to present a good version of ourselves in this competition.

What are your personal objectives and ambitions at the TotalEnergies AFCON Morocco 2025?

For me, the objective is to progress beyond the group stage if possible. This is the goal of all the coaches in this group. I hope that with confidence in ourselves, we will prepare well to get past the first round.

A final word for Equatorial Guinea fans?

To the fans of Equatorial Guinea, we are proud of their presence and support. We also know that there are supporters from Morocco and other countries. We are proud that they will come to watch us during the matches, and we will strive to make them happy on the pitch.
