The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) PAMOJA 2027 Qualifiers Draw will be broadcast live to millions of viewers across Africa and beyond when it is staged in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, 19 May.
The ceremony will take place at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) from 12h00 GMT (15h00 local time).
The tournament will be played from 19 June to 17 July 2027 and marks the long-awaited return of the continental showpiece to East Africa for the first time in 51 years as Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania act as co-hosts.
Tuesday’s globally televised event will be carried by CAF’s extensive network of broadcast partners, reflecting the soaring international interest and growing global appeal of African football.
Fans across the continent and beyond can follow the Draw live via CAF’s Broadcast parters, which include SuperSport, BeIN Sport, Canal+, Azam TV, New World TV, SABC Sport and ERTU, KBC (Kenya) TBC Tanzania) and KBC (Kenya).
CAF’s official YouTube Channel, CAF TV will also stream the Draw live, providing global reach, with exclusive behind the scenes content set to be made available across all CAF digital platforms.
The upcoming TotalEnergies CAF AFCON PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers build on the extraordinary momentum recently generated by the record-breaking TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, which far exceeded previous international viewership figures, digital engagement and fan interactions records worldwide.
Tuesday’s highly anticipated draw will be conducted by African football greats Max-Alain Gradel (Cote d’Ivoire), William Troost-Ekong (Nigeria), Essam El Hadary (Egypt) and Trésor Mputu (DR Congo).
A total of 48 teams will participate in the qualifiers, with the draw producing 12 groups, with 24 teams to qualify for the finals. Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania have taken three of those places as co-hosts.
