Egypt defeated Seychelles 12-2 on Tuesday in Saly to revive its hopes of a semifinal ticket in the ongoing Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal 2021.

The Pharaohs had an amazing performance to rebound from their opening day defeat to Mozambique and go back on the track.

Seychelles finished the tournament without a point, having suffered their third defeat of the campaign. Ronny Bamboche and Robinson Cadeau scored twice, but most of the Pirates’ attempts were stopped by Egypt’s defense and goalkeeper Abdelaziz "Zezo" Abdelaziz.

Ahmed Mohamed Elshahat opened the scoring for the Egyptians, followed by goalkeeper Zezo a few seconds later.

The other Egyptian scorers were Hossam Hassan (3 goals), Haitham Mahsoud (2), Mohamed Hassan (2), Abdelrahman Hassan (2) and Eslam Salama (1).

Egypt will face Morocco for the second Group B ticket after Mozambique guaranteed their place in the semis.
