Hosts Senegal defeat Morocco to reach yet another final

Hosts and title holders Senegal qualified to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Russia 2021, after they reached the final of the ongoing Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal 2021.

Senegal defeated Morocco 3-2 on Friday’s semifinal in Saly to continue their title defense campaign, and reach their third successive Beach Soccer AFCON final.

Rabi Aboutalbi's opened the score for Morocco to render the public silent for a few seconds. No time to wait until the equalizer came via Babacar Fall.

The game was balanced for long minutes without further goals to add.

Senegal took the lead 30 seconds into the second period, thanks to a superb strike from Ninou Diatta. But Sami Iazal scored again for Morocco to make it 2-2.

Raoul Mendy was the hero for Senegal on the night when he scored the hosts’ winner.

Senegal will face Mozambique in the final, as both sides guaranteed their place in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Russia.
