Hosts Senegal start with emphatic win

Hosts and title holders of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal started their campaign with a convincing 5-1 over Uganda on Sunday night in Saly.

The Teranga Lions, in front of their fans, were keen to make a good impression in their first game, and they did so.

This result leads Ngalla Sylla's men to the first step of Group A, waiting for their next meeting.

As a reminder, Group A is a three-way game with Senegal, Uganda and Tanzania after the withdrawal of DR Congo shortly before the start of the competition.

The next group game is between Tanzania and Uganda on Monday (May 24th). The Sand Cranes will try to get a better result to revive their hopes to reach the last four.
