Carayol, Sanneh boost for Gambia

Gambia have received a huge boost ahead of their AFCON 2017 qualifier against South Africa with the arrival of AC Horsens defender Buba Sanneh and winger Mustapha Carayol of Engalnd second-tier side, Middlesbrough.

The duo has teamed up with 11 others for the training camp under the technical guidance of coach Raoul Savoy at the National Training Center/Goal Project.

Also expected Swedish based trio, Omar Jagne of Dalkurd FF, GIF Sundsvall’s Pa Amat Dibba and Midfielder Dawda Ngum.

Already in camp are Swansea’s Modou Secka Barrow, Sulayman Marreh of Spanish side, Granada, Ousman Colley, who plays in Malta and Yusupha Njie of Moroccan side, FUS Rabat.

Meanwhile, the Scorpions will hold a brief training camp in Uganda, en route to Durban for the Group M clash with the 1996 African champions on Saturday, 13 June 2015 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The West African country is eyeing a first qualification for the showpiece continental football tournament.

The other Group M match will see Cameroon hosting Mauritania in Sunday, 14 June 2015 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in the capital, Yaounde
