Savoy hands Trawally maiden Scorpions call-up

Gambia coach Raoul Savoy has handed a maiden call-up for China-based forward, Bubacarr Trawally for their Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 Group M qualifier against Cameroon on Sunday, 6 September 2015 in Banjul.
The 20-year old, who has scored 14-goals for second-tier Yanbian Changbaishan on loan from elite division outfit, Hangzhou Greentown was the surprise inclusion in Savoy’s 24-man squad for the Day Two clash with the four-time African champions.
The Swiss has retained chunk the squad that held South Africa to a barren draw last June in Durban, but overlooked forward Ousman Jallow of HJK Helsinki and Huddersfield Town new signing, Mustapha Carayol who asked to be left out due to personal reasons.
The Scorpions are expected to hold a training camp in Morocco from Sunday, 30 August 2015 before flying into Banjul two days before the encounter with the Indomitable Lions.
Gambia has one point following their spirited goalless draw in Durban against South Africa, who will travel to face Les Mourabitones of Mauritania in Nouakchott in the other Group M clash.
