Former Egyptian international, Hossam Hassan will lead "The Pharaohs" in their quest to lift a eighth TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations.
Success on the continent has been elusive for the former champions who lasted lifted the title in 2010 on home soil.

Coach Hossam Hassan has followed a path similar to his playing career, having managed several Egyptian clubs such as Zamalek, Al-Masry, Alexandria's Ittihad, Ismaily, and Pyramids FC, in addition to other clubs.
The Egyptian coach also has some experience with national teams, having previously coached the Jordan national team.
Coaching Style
Hassan’s coaching style is characterized by narrowing the spaces between the lines, emphasizing defense at all levels on the field, and using intense pressing from the attack. He also focuses on exploiting the wings, either through crosses or penetration.

This will be Hassan’s first experience of the tournament as a coach, having previously competed in the tournament as a player with the Egyptian national team multiple times.
